In a lot of ways I'm just like most people. I have a family, home, pets, hopes & dreams. I laugh, cry, love...same as anyone else.
But I have deep, dark secrets!
I've lost so much because I once believed that since there was nothing wrong with my differences society could go take a flying leap if they didn't like it. Oh boy, was I wrong!
So now I try to hide the parts that make me different. I've tried to cut them from my being but they won't go and my efforts just leave me bleeding inside.
What can I say? I was drawn in by "Owner's Manual for Human Beings" hoping that I could figure out how to be one or at least understand them!! Go check her out!
Your "about me" makes me very sad. :/ I hope that one day you're able to emerge into the world and be accepted just the way you are. You seem like a sweet person, and I'd hate to see you shut yourself up because of one bad experience.
Not all people are as judgemental as most, even though it may seem like the whole world is cruel. If you'd ever like to talk about whatever it is that's going on with you, please feel free to email me. :)
Thanks again for all your comments. Each one really does make my day. :)
Best wishes, Carrie from [carrotspeak.] carrie1200@gmail.com
Erin, you deserve the shout out. You seem like a great person and you've got a great blog.
Ah Carrie, I hate to see anyone sad but this is how I have to be for now. It was so much more than one bad experience. There was the death of a child, a family split apart, my Constitutional rights violated...in a court of law I was drug over the coals, spat upon, then had my entire life ripped away from me not because of anything I'd done or not done but because of who I am inside. It'll definitely take time but seeing and hearing from folks like you and Erin give me hope.
It was and it still is but since it can't be undone it must be coped with one way or the other. That's all anyone can do! Maybe all of this blogging and stuff will help somehow :)
Thanks for the shout!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't even begin to imagine how truly awful it must have been. :( I'm glad that I can least share a little hope.
